I set up this blog to share a picture a day for 365 days. My main drive was to force me to take photos daily to improve my overall output. I will be trying out new techniques, polishing up on my existing abilities, and sometimes just posting shots of my daily life.

Feb 23 - Purple

Feb 23 - Orchid Macro 2

I went for more of a color/texture study today and used an orchid petal. I wanted to capture the intense color, the texture of the surface, and the wonderful cruves of the petal and its veins.

Two alternates on Flickr - one with a slightly different depth of field and another of a more full on shot of the flower.
